TPS25750: Configuration GUI

Hi Chen,

Chen_fullflash.bin

Try this full flash BIN file and let me know if the configurations work. I added additional Sink PDOs and the three specific configurations you mentioned. If you like to configure the settings yourself, you can enable Advanced Configuration and add/take out Sink PDOs under register 0x33/Transmit Sink Capabilities and edit the current/voltage as well.

If the configuration still doesn't output the correct current, try taking a look at the slave address for the EEPROM. According to the Host Interface Technical Reference Manual, the PD controller can read an external EEPROM at slave address 0x50 on the I2Cm port (page 51, linked to the document below).

I never use this advanced function before. The configuration we want to get is 15V input voltage, and 1A, 1.5A, and 2A output current from the charger. So I would assume it will be 3 different BIN files?

Thanks for the detailed description. 

In our use case, the TPS is only controlled by the BIN file in the EEPROM, and no MCU is used to adjust the settings. Here we are looking for 15V input, and 2A output from the charger. 

We are trying the BIN file now, but how the TPS adjust the current when they are all in the same BIN file? I am a little confused, but we will keep testing and update the result. At the meantime, could you help to generate a BIN file with one configuration, 15V input and 2A output?

Hi Chen,

This is standard PD negotiation (changing from one PDO to another), such as switching occurs when the source change the advertised capabilities.

Are you saying the charger is sourcing 15V and 2A or is is this two separate PDOs? If they are separate, what are the voltage and current level for each PDOs?

Now I think I understand your statement. We are looking for 15V input, but 2A output from the charger IC. The input of the USB-C could be vary, but the we want to configure the charger IC output 2A.

Could you help to generate the config file? The file we got does have 15V as input voltage, but no output current was detected.
