What is the behavior of the TLV62130 under the following conditions / What output showed under following condition:
a) When Input capacitor between PVIN to PGND is short circuit?
b) When R2 (on FB pin) is short circuit?
Assume that the external power source can provide 12V/10A to the system.
Thanks,
Gal.
a) When Input capacitor between PVIN to PGND is short circuit?
Device will not power on
b) When R2 (on FB pin) is short circuit?
Loss of output voltage regulation. Output voltage can go to VIN. Possible device damage if VIN > 7V due to max voltage violation on VOS pin.
Hope this helps,
Amod
Hi Amond,
I saw in DS:
In case the FB pin gets opened, the device clamps the output voltage at the VOS pin internally to about 7.4 V.
Its describe my case? when R2 (the resistor from FB to GND) is shorted, VOS gets 7.4V?
Gal.
And about capacitor between PVIN to PGND as short circuit:
If the device will not power ON, there are some quiescent currents that "flowing"?
and what I'll see in output voltage?
Nope that is for FB open. For FB short the description is what I gave before.
No since VIN is below UVLO threshold (specifically at 0V), the device will not turn on and will not draw quiescent currents. output voltage will be 0V
