TPS25750EVM: Error reprogramming EVM

Which GUI did you use to configure your EVM and what were the configuration settings?

Hi Raymond,

I used the TPS25750 Application Customization Tool with the configuration below:

1. 5V @3A power source (provider) only, TPS25750D

2. Maximum source power - 15W

3. Required sink power - 15W

4. Preferred power role - source

5. Preferred data role - no

6. USB Speed - no USB data

7. Vendor ID - TI Vendor ID and VIF

8. Product ID - no, 0x0000

9. Battery charger - none selected

Hi Stephen, 

Can you check and see if the correct COM port is selected under Serial Port?

If the corresponding COM port doesn't show up here, can you check and see if the EVM shows up as connected under Device Manager?

Hi Raymond,

Yep, I looked up the device in device manager and had the correct COM port selected. It was strange because I successfully flashed the configuration above and then a few minutes later without changing anything I started getting that error whenever I tried to flash again.

Please try the newest version of the online GUI linked here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1133736/faq-when-i-configured-the-usb-pd-chg-evm-01-using-the-online-application-customization-tool-the-pd-controller-isn-t-communicating-correctly-with-the-bq25792-fixed 

This might be a bug from the version you were using. Let me know if this version resolves this error!

I tried it again with the new 7.0.4 version of the online GUI, but still getting the same error as soon as I press the "flash to device.." button.

Hi Stephen,

Just to double check, were there any hardware changes (i.e jumper placement, GPIO inputs, etc.) made to the EVM? 

If not, can you try clearing cookie/cache or use an incognito tab and see if that helps?
