Hi Experts,

right now customer need to pass the MFI R31 OCP test on their headunit product,

in their current design they used TPS2546, but it can not pass the test.

Question:

1. does the TPS2549 can pass this test?

2. if not, please help to promote a new device can pass the certification test.

BTW, it's a USB-C port, so customer said it need to output 5V/3A.

I can't find customer said the R31, but found this:

I have found one document , which mentioned TPS2549 can pass MFI by solution 1 but still not very clear, hope you can provide detail solution for customer.

Anderson,

I do not believe that the TPS2549 will be able to pass the MFI specification. I believe that the TPS2583x-Q1 parts were specifically designed with the specification in mind, but the TPS2549 was released before the specification was released and cannot be retrofit to pass.
