TL783: Thermal shutdown threshold

Hello, 

Thermal shutdown typically occurs at 160C. 

The recommended operating conditions of this device are at 125C.

With abs max being rated at 150C

You can approximate the junction temperature by using the Theta-JA coefficient:

and calculating the power dissipation across the package

Running any device in thermal shutdown for too long/repeatedly will damage the part.
