BQ27Z561-R2: How to Calibrate if connect battery positive terminal on SRN

Part Number: BQ27Z561-R2

Battery negative is connected on SRN instead of SRP in BQ27Z561YPHR-R2 as per attached schematics in prototype. Can it handle in software by reading it in inverting format, especially the calibration?

    Hello,

    SRP should always be connected to Cell-. If connected reversed, the gauge would think it is discharging when charging. The sense resistor is a critical and very important for the bq27z561-R2 as the gauge uses R-sense to measure current and detect CHG, RELAX, and DSG states. 

    I suggest not to reverse connections and follow layout guidelines.
