TPS4H000-Q1: Kcl and Kcs variation between 4.5V and 5.0V ?

Dear team,

Should we expect any variation of the current sense / limit accuracy when TPS4H000B-Q1 is used with a series Schottky diode on the ground pin, and with total supply = 5V --> TPS4H000 Vs = 4.5V?

Is there any other parameter which would vary significantly between 4.5V and 5.0V ?

Hi PA,

As 4.5V and 5V both in the recommended operation range, there will be no shift we anticipated in current limit and current sense accuracy. When GND network is used, please make sure the current limit resistor is connected to IC_GND.

I would suggest to verify on your board/EVM to test the accuracy.

Thanks a lot. That was my initial assessment as well, but I then noticed that our electrical characteristics are given for 5 V < VVS < 40 V..

Hi PA,

For this part, 4V-5V is designed for cold crank situation and not meant for long-time steady state operation. Electrical characteristic parameters can be off at 4V. May I know if 4.5V is customer's steady-state supply voltage? Which end application is this?
