TPS61088: Shutdown current

Part Number: TPS61088

Hi Team,

Can you help clarify the question below?

According to the datasheet, the shutdown current of the TPS61088 is 3uAn measured when no load and no feedback resistor divider is connected.

If the design has a load and feedback resistors to be connected during the shutdown. What is the current of VIN during shutdown (EN=0V) if load and feedback resistors are connected? Or is VOUT=VIN in shutdown?

Thank you.

Regards,

Marvin

  • Hi Marvin,

You are right. When shutdown, the body diode of high MOS will be on then load can drive current from Vin.

The current of Vin during shutdown can be calculated as iq(3.5uAmax)+ Vin/Rfb+Vin/Rload

    Best Regards
