We have some question for bin file read/write to EEPROM

Q1:What’ the default status of GPIO0, input/output?

Q2:Plan to use TPS25762-Q1 GPIO0 for control the TVSP index selection between 0 to 5 ,Could GPIO0 control by I2C1 register from MCU in runtime?

Q3:Could TPS25762-Q1 boot up without EEPROM bin?

Q4 :TPS25762-Q1 boot up steps for confirm, is correct?

a .EEPROM empty

b.TPS25762-Q1 boot up mode select to index 0 (but the EEPROM is empty)

c.GPIO0 set from low to high via I2C1 from MCU

d.Send bin file from MCU to TPS25762-Q1 to EEPROM

e.GPIO0 set from high to low via I2C1 from MCU

f.TPS25762-Q1 boot up mode index 0 (EEPROM with bin)

I found that I may misunderstand what you mean, last time I guess you do not need the EEPROM, and load the firmware via HUB/MCU, but from your description, it seems that you need to update the EEPROM in real time via HUB/MCU, right?

Using the MCU to control the point one, and the resistance change to 6.65kohm.

When you finish update the firmware, you need to make the TVSP index to 0, then re-start, our device will upload the new firmware.

Two questions for Firmware update

1.Could firmware update from MCU to EEPROM via I2C? Since we didn’t connect PA_DP/PA_DM from MCU to TPS25762-Q1.

2.Could GPIO0 control by I2C1 register from MCU and TPS25762-Q didn’t boot from EEPROM first?

1, Yes, you can use the I2C2 to update the EEPROM which is connected to the I2C1, but we need to set the TVSP index=0, and we need to make sure the EEPROM has the original firmware, because this is a security upgrade, we will check the EEPROM firmware.

2, No, if you don't have anything in the EEPROM, we can not update the firmware using I2C2, and also in this time, the GPIO 0 default state is low.

One more point, you can download the firmware into the EEPROM in the production stages, then it will have the original firmware, then you can update it via I2C2.
