Yes the Vout ripple will be larger when the device operates in PFM mode when compared to PWM mode. Generally in the light load condition the device operates in PFM mode where the switching frequency is less to achieve higher efficiency.

The mode of operation depends upon the output load, if you would like to operate the device only in PWM mode in the entire load conditions then you can choose TLV62569A (TLV62569A data sheet, product information and support | TI.com).
