Anyone can help to resolve a confusion about the schematic model of this part number which is not reflected properly at the link provided:
https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sluc656
This particular link, although designed with the same IC, reflects the part number incorrectly and show the model for UCC21530EVM-286.
It is not only physically , but also schematically different.
I tried to resolve this with tech support, but had no success because they think it is the same model which is incorrect.
Please advise.
I forgot to mention if possible file needs to be compatible wit Altium Designer.
Thank you.
Hi Simon,
I will submit a ticket with the Altium designer Vault and get back to you. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It usually takes about a week from them to complete an Altium part model request.
Best regards,
Sean
Hi Simon, from this link that you provided, the Altium file does contain Variants that show UCC21520, UCC20520, and UCC21521. , not UCC21530.
In addition, the PCB shows the footprint with two NC pins on the isolated side, which would not be there for UCC21530, as shown in your second photo.
While I agree that UCC21530 is a different model, this model appears to be for the UCC21520 family.
I have been informed that the UCC21520EVM was recently updated to look like the first photo that is currently the orderable PCB. However, the files that are available on this link are still for the previous revision, which looks more like the UCC21530 EVM.
The files for the new board have not been uploaded to our archive, but I will see if anyone has them locally.
In the meantime, hopefully you are still able to use the model from the old board?
Best regards,
Sean
The files were loaded in the Archive! Although they were incorrectly filed under the UCC21530 label. Here they are. I will try to get the design files on the EVM page updated with this file as well.
Best regards,
Sean
I will try to use suggested model even it still needs attention.
Please let me know when new model is posted.
Thank you.
After carefully reexamining the schematics found that everything looks good.
I was under impression that Jumpers are portraying as connectors.
So we are all good and question is resolved.
Thank you for your prompted attention.
