I want to use bq76200 as a high side driver for my 48V, 60A system.
I could see in datasheet that it supports up to 75V( 16S cell combination) but I haven't seen any restriction on charge discharge current through battery.
Is there any limitation on battery current?
Can I use it for my application?
Thanks in advance
Hello Monica,
The BQ76200 is a high-side driver that controls N-Channel MOSFETs. The current limitation will depend on what FETs and how many FETs you use. The part itself has no current flowing through it, so there is no limit.
You should be able to use it with your 48-V system and 60A of current if you choose the appropriate FET configuration.
The following app note should be useful: FET Configurations for the bq76200 High-Side N-Channel FET Driver

Thanks a lot for the confirmation. I have designed my schematic considering that document.
Glad to help!
An additional document that may be useful is the bq76200 Beyond the Simple Application Schematic application note.
Good luck!
