LM3478: review schematic diagram

Part Number: LM3478

hi teams:

The customer has a product that uses TI's LM3478, with an input of 4-17V and an output of 5V/0.3A.

Currently, there is a problem that when the input power fluctuates at low frequencies, the inductor L2 will make a noise. The power waveform fluctuates as shown in the figure below,

Please help me see if there are any suggestions for improvement. Thank you.

The current measures taken are as follows:

1: Adding capacitance to the front end and changing the LC circuit have no effect.

2: Cancel resistors R297 and R99, and make the MOS not work. If only one inductor is connected, it will also make a noise.

  • Hi Kevin,

thank you for using the E2E forum

I assume the compensation is not OK.

Can you try to measure your loop stability with an network analyzer?

How have you defined your compensation parameter and components on the COMP pin?

    Best regards,
