Hi team

I have modified components values according to LM5146DESIGN-CALC given by TI, I have set output current limit at 22A and simulated the LM5146-Q1 PSpice Unencrypted Transient Model (Rev. A). but it is not limited at 22A. I have attached my calculation file.

Hi Vipin,

I looked into this, I think there is some leakage current in the diode parallel to lowside FET.

I deleted the default diode and placed a generic PSPICE Dbreak diode and the current limit is closer to setpoint.

Also you may want to increase current limit setpoint to higher than output current for more margin, especially at load transients where the inductor current has to overshoot the output current momentarily.

Current limit setpoint of 140% of IOUT would be suggested.
