TPS61033EVM: Design topology and ECAD design files for TPS61033EVM in KiCAD or Altium Designer

Part Number: TPS61033EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61033, , BQ25790EVM, BQ25790

Hi ,

We are developing a Handheld device and Processor Board requirement is 5V @700mA.

We plan to use following design as below.

We have selected 9000mAH battery capable of sourcing 1.5A current.

Please verify if design is ok.

Secondly we plan to buy TPS61033EVM  and use TPS61033 in our circuit. Please send us ECAD design files for TPS61033EVM .

We already have ECAD design files for BQ25790EVM and we have bought EVM board.

Thanks and Regards,

Dhiraj Phadte

  • Hi Dhiraj,

    Thanks for using e2e.

    The design is ok.

Could you please tell us why do you need ECAD files? We have listed the schematic and layout in EVM user guide. Thanks.

  • Hi Nathan,

    Thanks for your reply.

If we had ECAD files our board design could be faster. However we will manage as we could download footprint form theTI  website.

One question I have, Can we get continuous 5V  output from BQ25790 using 3.7V Li-ION Battery and also during charging? Our Processor board needs 5V.

We wanted one IC solution so if BQ25790 is sufficient or Is there any other single IC solution you can suggest .

    Regards,

  • Hi Dhiraj,

I think you are asking the feature of BQ25790? If that, you'd better start a new thread and assign the thread to BCP product line, because we are boost product line so I am not familiar with charger device like BQ25790...

    Thanks & Regards,

    Nathan
