TPS61071-Q1: Output capacitor limitation? VOUT limitation @VIN=EN=0?

Part Number: TPS61071-Q1

Hi team,

Does it have output capacitor limitation? 8.2.2.3.2 Output Capacitor C2 shows just minimum capacitance. Does it have maximum allowable output capacitance?

Is there any concern for VOUT=5V when VIN=EN=0V? How much current does this device sink into OUT from 5V?

Regards,
Ochi

  • 1. wE DON'T ;IMIT THE MAXIMUM CAPCITANCE, BUT if the Cout too large, due to package, the esr may be large as well, which adds to the output ripple as well . Also the zero yielded by Cout and esr may be lower, which doesn't mean the lower the better .

2.The typical value is 50nA , refer to table

  • Hi Yoshiki,

I noted that this is a auto application, we have a new 5V output auto device TPS61033x-Q1 (sample now, RTM in 3Q), I think maybe TPS61033x is a better option, TPS61071-q1 is very old device...

Do we have changes to promote TPS61033x? Please make us know if customer is interested in this new devices. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Nathan
