About the TIDA-010247 Schematic. Can someone clearly explain what is the purpose of the TOP LD pin in this case? is it possible not to use this TOP LD pin?

Hi,
As listed in the sch, TOP_LD is used for 2 purposes: 1) for end of pre-discharge judgement; 2) as a reference of TOP_DSG. Especially for the 2ed purpose, when top AFE wants to turn off DSG MOSFET, TOP_DSG drops towards to TOP_LD and turn off Q41, so DSG MOSFET can be turned off completely. You can refer more detail explanations from below paper: Design Considerations of Stacked BQ769x2 With High-Side N-MOSFET
If you don't want to use TOP_LD, you need to consider how to turn off DSG MOSFET completely.
