Hi there!
For my appliation I selected the BQ34110 as it seemed to do more or less what I was looking for. Meanwhile due to some implementation issues and lack of experience I'm questioning its decision for now.
My I ask for your recommendation due to the following application:
May I ask you if the BQ34110 is capable for the below described application or would you "highly" recommend to use a different fuel gauge?
Application Decription
- device with 4x AA batteris in series
- device is ment to use rechargable batteries (i.e. NiMH)
- user has easy access to the batteries for exchange if necessary. Consequently the user can insert what ever AA batterie (i.e. alkalin instad of NiMH, rechargable with different capacitance ranging from 0.8 Ah to 2.9 Ah, ...).
- device has a charger circuitry implemented.
- device shall display its remaining capacity, with at least four levels of charge (e.g. [0 %, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%])
The answer should help me to decide how to preceed with my current project, i.e. increase effort in understanding the BQ34110 or trigger a new (and more extensive) evaluation?
Thank you for your input.
PS: I previously asked the following question, which made me go some steps back in development.
