TPS25750: Strategies to flash EEPROM during mass production

Part Number: TPS25750

Hi,

I was wondering what are your suggestions when the following scenario is in placed:

  • Configure TPS25750 in a pcb that is ready for mass production
  • TPS25750 uses an EEPROM to retrieve configuration from in SafeMode
  • This EEPROM is empty and has been already soldered into the pcb
  • The EEPROM needs to stay in the board in order to be flashed and not take it out from the board
  • Several iterations of configuration should be applied to the EEPROM until reach the optimized one
  • Avoid any use of external boards like development kits to do the iterations
  • Avoid the use of a host interface to change configurations on the fly

I'm not really sure if once the EEPROM has been flashed and TPS25750 is fully functional, if it's possible to be able to flash again the EEPROM assuming that there will be a possible traffic to the BQ charger.

Also, assuming that it's not possible to iteration to flash the EEPROM and an embedded host is required, what are the tools that you offer aside of the TPS25750 Host Interface Technical Reference Manual, is it possible to use TPS25750 Application Customization Tool in this mode? I have seen that there is a way you can download the full flash binary as a C file, this file is meant to be used with the embedded host?
