Hi Team,
I am using TPS563257DRLR in my design. I would like experts to review circuit design and provide their feedback. My design requirement is mentioned below.
Vin=5V
Vout=0.85V
Iout= 2A
Thanks,

Hi Shifali,
Thanks for reaching out! It seems there is already a similar schematic review shown below:

Would you mind checking whether this can answer your question?
Thanks! Kindly let us know any of your unclear questions.

Hi Lucia,
I have calculated the Inductor value based on the Formula (2) mentioned in Page 14 of datasheet.
Isn't that the correct way to calculate the Inductor value. The formula you have mentioned is not present in the datasheet.
Also, what should be the ideal LIR value selected if we consider the formula suggested by you.
Thanks,
Shifali
Hi Shifali,
Thanks for your feedback.
Actually there are several things to consider for inductor: (1) current ripple LIR: 0.2-0.5; (2) loop response performance; (3) not trigger NOC. I think the equation you mentioned is mainly related with not trigger NOC.
For the ideal LIR value, In general, it is preferable to choose lower inductance in switching power supplies, because it usually corresponds to faster transient response, smaller DCR, and reduced size for more compact designs. Too low of an inductance can generate too large of an inductor current ripple such that overcurrent protection at the full load can be falsely triggered. The device also generates more inductor core loss since the current ripple is larger. Larger inductor current ripple also implies larger output voltage ripple with the same output capacitors.
For your application, we would recommend 680nH. You can also refer to LC table in datasheet.
Thanks! Kindly let us know anything unclear.
