TLC6C5816-Q1: Need to review Schematic Interface between TLC6C5816 and NLV74HC595ADTR2G.

Hi Team,

Can i connect TLC6C5816(5V) SEROUT Pin to NLV74HC595ADTR2G(3.3V) SER IN pin. Because both IC has different VCC Supply.

I used one potential divider and thinking to choose values as 1k for Top and 2K for bottom of the divider. 

Please suggest,

    Hi Lakshmipriya,

    Yes, you can use this connection. for our device, the current resistor selection is fine.

    But in this condition, please pay attention to the drive capability of these I/O pins.
