Hi team,
My customer is using our TPS54620.
Could you please kindly help check below two questions:
1.How to choose TPS54620 EN pin Vstart and Vstop?
2.Vstart and Vstop means which pin's voltage?(Ven or Vin)
Thanks,
Brian
Hi Brian,
Vstart and Vstop is selected in terms of VIN, this two values will set the value you want the input voltage to start and stop for the device. Vstart/Vstop will have to be less than VIN (at least 500mV less) and higher than Venfalling/Venrising. You can follow the equation on DS ( https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps54620.pdf#page=15) to calculate the Ren_top=R1 and Ren_bottom=R2.
Vstop and Vstart are set by the user, while the rest are given.
Also to note EN has an internal pullup power source, and therefore you can leave the EN pin floating for enabling the device. So technically no EN resistors are needed unless you want to modify the UVLO.
