If the IC is reset for some reason while INITCOMP is not set, is there a Flag on CONTROL_STATUS that indicates that a reset has occurred?
(When I2C communication is enabled)

Does Reset Conter WD only count resets by watchdog timer?

Yes thats correct, it only tracks the number of watchdog reset events.
