Hi
The customer test with BQ40Z50-R1, the problem is FCC and RM jump at the beginning of charge and discharge. The smooth bit is enabled.
Attached log data and gg file for your reference.
Please help check it.
Thanks

Hello Star,
I took a look at the configuration file, it looks like they have load select set as 3 which is average current. With the load select settings that use the present information for simulation (AvgCurrent, Current, Present Avg Discharge Current, etc) they will use the saved "last run" parameter while in rest. If there is large deviation in the new discharge from the last the FCC/RemCap will be recalculated when the discharge starts with the new load. Also they should only be testing with a constant power discharge, do not do constant current discharging when load mode is selected as 1.
If this does not help please test with the most recent firmware, there has been many improvements to the smoothing algorithm since the -R1 release.
Sincerely,

Hi Wyatt
Thanks for your reply.
How to set the Load Mode and Load Select. Is there any explanation on this?
Thanks
Star
Hello Star,
Load mode and load select are defined in the TRM.
You can also find further readings on the Impedance Track FAQ page: https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1100653/faq-impedance-track-faqs
