BQ2026EVM: Query regarding BQ2026

Hi,

This mail is regarding BQ2026 IC of TI. Request you to address the below queries.

1) BQ2026EVM, what are the components this Kit contains? Does it include Reva board along with EV2300 HPA002 interface board ?
2) If it doesn’t contain EV2300 HPA002 interface board, can we any other Microcontroller or use personal laptop to program the BQ2026 reva board ? Please do mention if there are any specific microcontrollers that can be used.
3) Is Possible to read the data written in BQ2026 using any CPU? Or is there a specific host that has to be used to read the data?
4) Can multiple BQ2026 be connected to single SDQ bus and read data one after the other just like how One wire protocol function?

5) Its mentioned that BQ2026 is OTP device, does that mean it can be overwritten after initial programming?

    Hello,

    1) The BQ2026EVM comes with only the board.
    2) There is MCU board I can ship to you directly that will allow you to interface with the EVM.
    3) The MCU board shared has a USB-C port. This can be connected to any PC.
    4) Multiple BQ2026 be connected to single SDQ bus and read data one after the other.

    5) THe BQ2026 is an EPROM device making it OTP. OTP stands for one time programmable. This means the memory starts with all 0's and can be written to 1's. However 1's can not become zero. So once written to a 1, there is no way to change it.
