Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO
We are using a custom PCB with a BQ34Z100-R2 fuel gauge. We are using a custom grepow battery pack of 30,000mAh capacity, with a max voltage of 50.4V. We determined that a suitable chem ID would be 1536. I have updated the firmware to the latest v16 and bqstudio is also up to date.
Here's a detailed explanation of the steps followed:
1. Performed a learning cycle and got 0x06 as the status
2. Ran two separate charge-relax-discharge-relax cycles and witnessed a steady rate of change of SOC. The SOC readings in both the tests were good. We were satisfied with the result.
Here's where the issue arises:
In our third attempt to monitor the SOC values, the SOC reached full charge at 100% and abruptly dropped down to 0% after it was at rest. This has happened before back when we were using the old firmware. But this phenomenon did not occur in the first two tests. This happened all of a sudden.
along with SOC, the RC and FCC also dropped down to 0.
Now when I try to perform another charge-relax-discharge-relax cycle, the SOC, RC and FCC are stuck at 0 without any change, even when the battery is charging/discharging.
I have attached a log along with the fuel gauge settings.
Log file 1 which shows good results and steady SOC at charge and discharge - 4477.SOCVerification_Test1_AP.csv
log file 2 which shows an abrupt SOC,RC and FCC at 0 after full charge - 3872.21-09-23 Chg Dsg after learn.csv
Fuel gauge config file - 0310.Fulegaugesettings.gg.csv
We have really been struggling with this issue for almost a month now. Help would really be appreciated :)
