Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65987D, TUSB1064
Hi team,
Does the TUSB1046EVM can demonstrate DP alt mode source to connected monitor? Is there other device needed such as PD controller TPS65987D?

In this case, I think you would want to use TUSB1064EVM, https://www.ti.com/tool/TUSB1064RNQEVM for the demo. The connection would be
Type-C Source -> TUSB1064EVM -> Monitor.
The TUSB1064EVM already has a PD controller on it and will support DP Alt Mode. Attached is the EVM schematic.
There is a mistake in the EVM design. The TUSB1064EVM control pin is not connected to pin 1 and pin 5 of the jumper. In order to properly configure TUSB1064, you will have to jumper between pin 2 and 3, pin 4 and 3, or pin 6 and 3.
Thanks

Hi David,
A long type-c cable will be placed between redriver and monitor as below
DP source -> Redriver (with MUX) -> long USB-C cable -> Monitor
In this case, customer needs TUSB1046 as I understand correctly. Why do you suggest TUSB1064EVM? Just for EVM selection? or the most suitable device is TUSB1064?

I was thinking you are using a DP monitor, not a Type-C monitor. With a Type-C monitor, you are correct that TUSB1046EVM is the right choice.
Thanks
