LM2642: LM2642: 12V two-phase/single-channel application circuit

Hi Joseph,

I am targeting 10A nominal load, 40mV ripple, transient voltage excursions kept within 200mV for current excursions up to 10A. The application isn't sensitive to solution size, power density, or efficiency. 

I am open to considering a different chip if it lends itself better to the application.

    With controllers such as the LM2642, the responsibility to meet customer requirements are shifted more to the customer as they are responsible for designing everything around the controller.

    Are you interested in only controller ICs, or are you open to converters (switching MOSFETs included in IC) or even possibly modules (inductor included in IC package)?

    You can definitely meet your operating requirements if you tick with the LM2642, just make sure to follow the datasheet to optimize your MOSFET, Inductor, and Output Capacitance selection.
