    Hi,

    HD3SS3220 is an integrated passive MUX with CC controller solution. Since HD3SS3220 is a passive MUX, you can swap its TX & RX pins as long as the TX and RX routing direction from end to end is correct.

    The USB org defines on a receptacle, TX being a transmitter or output, and RX being a receiver or input. I draw a block diagram to show the end to end connection.
