Im now a happy owner of the BQ25629EVM and read in the datasheet that I needed the EV2400 or a USB2ANY.
Ofcoarse I ignored that, and started on creating my own support through I2C, reading all addresses etc. Happy developing, semi working and becoming fairly time consuming.
So I bought the USB2ANY....

Now..

I recon these 2 aren't married yet since I've just read that BQStudio cant use the USB2ANY for other eval-kits either.
So I tried https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/BatteryChargers/ticharger_gui/ver/1.4.5/ but here my dear new BQ25629 child is not listed.
Can I make it myself? If so, can you send me on my merry way with a tutorial?

Hi,

In order to use TI BQStudio BQ25629 GUI at BQSTUDIO Application software & framework | TI.com, EV2400 is needed to evaluate the BQ25629 EVM. If you are going to develop your own I2C communication solutions, you may use USB2ANY.

Hello Ning, Thank you for your reply.

The bqz file was already used to get insights in the register addresses.
But since implementation from scratch will take time,I was wondering if TI has a more USB2ANY integrated environment I can utilize.

Is there a TI dev environment in which I can use the USB2ANY to connect to my eval board? Would the GUI environment be a good place for me to implement the BQ25629?

Hi,

The bqz file only works with BQStudio and EV2400. TI Charger GUIs are only available in BQStudio not the GUI environment.
