TPS54519: Absolute maximum ratings on PH pin

Hi,

Are these waveforms captured on the EVM or your own PCB?  They are not necessarily an issue, but we should always check your PCB layout.

As well, why are you evaluating this older device?  The TPS62867 is a newer, smaller alternative or the TPSM82866A power module.

These waveforms are captured on the EVM with some components changed. (inductor, frequency and output voltage). I will measure again on my own PCB when it is ready.

For the device suggestion, unfortunately TPS62867 does not meet our requirement. (This was explained in previous post https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1241541/tps54519-current-limit-threshold)

Hi. I have captured waveforms on my PCB. Overshoot of >7V is not observed but undershoot of both <-2V and <-0.6V (>10ns) are still there.

Is there any concern about these transient over-voltage conditions?

I am not concerned by them, and we should always check your PCB layout to make sure.  Can you post an image of the TPS54519 and the few components and routing around it on your PCB?

Internal layers (L2-L5) beneath these components are all filled GND. We may reuse this design on 2-layer or 4-layer boards in the future.
