BQ27220EVM-744: Need EDV configuration details

Part Number: BQ27220EVM-744

Hello,

Could you please provide the below details for single cell specifications.

We are using single cell Li-Ion 3.7V 2600mAh
Upper Cutoff Voltage - 4.2V
Lower Cutoff Voltage - 2.9V

We need below details for upper cell specification.

#DefaultDesignCapacity
#EDV0
#EDV1
#EDV2
#Gauging Configuration
#EDV0_HOLD_TIME
#EDV1_HOLD_TIME
#EDV2_HOLD_TIME
#CC_OFFSET
#BOARD_OFFSET
#CC_GAIN
#CC_DELTA

Thank You.

  • Hello Hitesh,

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, please see the comments below:

    • DefaultDesignCapacity: The design capacity of the cell you are using, listed in the cell datasheet.
    • EDV0, EDV1, EDV2: Three low-voltage thresholds of the battery. EDV0 is the voltage when the SOC is at 0%, EDV1 is the voltage when SOC is at 3%, and EDV2 is the voltage when the SOC is at 7%.
    • Gauging Configuration: Please refer to the image below:

    • EDV0_HOLD_TIME, EDV1_HOLD_TIME, EDV2_HOLD_TIME: These values are the hold times for EDV0, EDV1, and EDV2, and can be left as the default values.
    • CC_OFFSET: This command instructs the fuel gauge to measure the internal CC offset value.
    • BOARD_OFFSET: This command instructs the fuel gauge to measure and store the board offset value.
    • CC_GAIN: CC Gain sets the mA current scale factor for the coulomb counter. Use calibration routines to set this value
    • CC_DELTA: CC Delta sets the mAh capacity scale factor for the coulomb counter. Use calibration routines to set this value

    Regards,

    Jonny.
