I'm designing a totem pole PFC controller, 500W, input 230VAC, output 400VDC.

I would like to use a solution without doing any code, meaning fully analog. Do TI have any integrated part that include all the control modules for this topology. Of course, the mosfets drivers and current sensors have to be external parts.

I was searching on the TI site on PFC parts and I'm not finding any dedicated part for to control a PFC totem pole bridgeless solution.

Hi Eduardo,

We do have a reference design that supports 1kW using our UCD3138. This is the PMP20873. I am not sure if you would need to do any additional coding to make this work.

At the moment we do not have an analog solution.

Hello Eduardo,

The PMP20873 is a good design that will work with your requirements. You will need to make hardware changes (mainly the boost inductor) to increase the power to 1kW. The code should work as is with the new power level.

The UCD3138 comes with a GUI that allows you to tune the control loop (https://www.ti.com/tool/FUSION-DIGITAL-POWER-STUDIO).
