TPS25750: Can TPS25750D be used completely without EEPROM or external uC as a sink only product?

Would it be possible to use the TPS25750D part as a sink only power controller that would support both legacy 5VDC 3A (15W) non PD adapters as well as supporting USB-C PD (60W) power modes?

My product is an embedded computer that can throttle the CPU to keep power usage below the max power that is available.

How to configure the ADCINx lines for optimal operation in this mode?

Hi Clas,

No, however we have a newly released device on the web today, TPS25730, which can be configured without EEPROM or MCU. It is fully configurable with pin strapping and is for sink-only applications up to 100W.

Thank you so much Kevin, i have decided to make a design that supports both the TPS25750D and TPS25730D PCB footprints, since the packages are the same, and the schematic symbols line up quite well. Its obvious that both chips are designed for footprint compatibility.

Could you please be so kind as to review the attached schematic where the two parts' footprints will overlap in the PCB, but of course the mount options will follow the selected chip.
