BQ34Z100-R2: Failure after attempted programming

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, BQ34Z100EVM, BQ34Z100,

Hello, we use the BQ34Z100-R2 in our design which closely follows the BQ34Z100EVM. We connected our board to the BQStudio and it identified the fuel gauge correctly. I initiated programming of the fuel gauge with our golden image - shortly after starting the programming, BQStudio lost communication with the fuel gauge. Now the fuel gauge is no longer identified by BQStudio, and when trying to read the fuel gauge it displays a message that there was no acknowledge from the device. Is the fuel gauge vulnerable to communication failure during reprogramming? Power to the board was stable, so there was no power interruption during programming. Can the BQ34Z100 be reset somehow to renew communication?

Thank you,

Noam
