Hello,

My customer is looking for a replacement from TI for the ISL68201IRZ.

Could you please recommend the most suitable replacement among TI's controller products?

Thank you.

JH

  • Hello JH,

We do not have any controllers with I2C.  If still interesting in considering controller without, please look at the LM25148.  Hope this helps.

    David.

  • Hello David,

    Thanks for your reply.

Sorry. I missed some important information.

Supporting input voltage, output voltage, and current specifications is more important than the control interface. Is there a suitable product that supports the specifications below?

       - VIN = 12V, VOUT=0.85V, IOUT= 60A

    Regards,

    JH

  • Hello JH,

If your max input voltage is less than 28V we have another product line with a more suitable device, I have shifted the thread over to them, from the devices we are responsible for, please consider the LM25143, again, no I2C on this device.

    Hope this helps.

    David.

    Team,

please assist in recommendation for controller with I2C, will likely be a single output interleaved design, thanks.

Our Stackable PMBus converter with integrated MOSFETs TPS546D24Ax2 or both channels of the 2-phase module TPSM8D6C24 are able to support 12V to 0.85V @ 60A, but they are integrated FET converters or integrated inductor modules, not controllers like the ISL68201

60A is typically beyond what is ideally serviced by a single phase controller due to the size / current through the inductor and the number of parallel MOSFETs required.

The most similar device is the TPS40400, but the digital interface on the current functions are not designed for 60A, though the IOUT_CAL_GAIN could be intentionally set in correctly to allow it to support 60A, the interpretation of reads on current would need to be updated to account for the mismatched current sense gain.
