TPS6594-Q1: SPMI no clock after power up at high temp

Dear expert,

1. Air temp 80C, Tj 110C~120C, TPS65941213Q1 SPMI abnormal after power up result lose communication with LP8764. 100% reproducible at high temp.
2. One pcs TPS65941213Q1 among 15Ku report this issue.
3. No any voltage output. Register report SPMI abnormal. There are only 8 SPMI clock after power up then no signal. Scope capture is at next page
4. ABA swap experiments, problem goes with this pcs TPS65941213Q1

Is there any suggestion before I send to CQE process?

Hello Ryan,

Quick question.

Every time you were able to replicate the issue, you or the customer were able to establish I2C communication?

I expect a yes, because of the reading of the register SPMI abnormal or was that read from the other PMICs?

Depending on the answers to the question, I can make a suggestion, thank you for attaching the SPMI scope shot.

Yes, I2C communication is OK. Below is TPS65941213 register dump when problem happen.

Nicholas,

Sorry. Customer decide to remove silicon from board and deliver to our CQE.

They want to go through ATE first.

Let me close this thread for now first.
