hi sir
i would like to design a dc-dc power stage, spec as below, LM5156 is a right solution?
For Positive, +10V~+110V Vout programmable, 48Vin, Continuous 0~40V /2A, Transient 110V/2A
For Negative, -10V~-70V Vout programmable, 48Vin, Continuous 0~-40V /2A, Transient -70V/2A
thanks
Hello,
Thank you for using E2E. Do you want to have one powerstage for both, the positive and the negative? Or do you want to have 2 seperate powerstages?
Should the output voltage be dynamically adjustable or will there be a fixed value that is decided before starting?
What would be the application for this design?
Thanks and best regards,
Moritz
Hi,
Theoretically it is possible to use LM5156 in flyback topology for this application. However it will be difficult to optimize the design (transformer, compensation..) for such a high output voltage range. It also depends on customers needs regarding the transient of the output voltage change.
Best regards,
Moritz
