BQ51003: BQ51003 SCH review and application check

Part Number: BQ51003

Hi Team

could you help on this SCH review?

WLC_BQ51003_2.pdf

the SCH refer below attached file.

TIDRIR7.PDF

it's a earphone project and this is for the box in the earphone. we hope it can support Qi wireless charge.

plan to use TI BQ51003 as RX.

below is application question.

1. by the AD and AD_EN pin function. could we switch wireless and wired charge? and don't need any power mux due to the wired charge is high priority.

2. do we have any requirement for inductor?

do you think which one can meet their requirement

  • Hi Brian

Schematic -- WLC BQ51003_2 looks good.  May need some tuning to match RX coil ( C803, C804, C805 )

    Below is application question:

    1. by the AD and AD_EN pin function. could we switch wireless and wired charge? -- Bill J - Yes the BQ51003 will control U806 and preform the power mux function.

    2. do we have any requirement for inductor? -- Bill J - Yes, it will depend on the coil size, smaller coil needs higher L.  ENS000175290_WPC-W-P-RX-CF-139 looks good it is small but not too small and the L value is higher 20uH.   760308101219 is smaller with lower L value, not a good fit.
