We are using BQ25720RSNR for laptop project. We want to support the maximum output current of 15A when plugged with DC jack only.

So kindly let us know if BQ25720RSNR can support the output current of 15A or not.

Hi Udesh,

BQ25720 is a battery charge controller. Its charge current can scale up with the current sense. We have a reference design online.

Although the design is often limited by the component choices, such as FET and inductor. It does not show as a limitation of the battery charge controller.

In simple words, BQ25720 can support >15A charge current if external power stage components allow.
