LM5025AEVAL: PWM issue

Part Number: LM5025AEVAL

The output voltage is normal, but out_A cannot produce a complete square wave.

What should I do?

  • Hi ,

What is the load conditions for this? It seems like CS peaks are high enough that make the PWM comparator latch before it should (taking over the output of the error amplifier). This might happen at light loads. What you can do is improve the RC filter of the CS1, so these peaks are attenuated. Other option is to implement a Lead Blanking Edge circuit at the OUTPUTA, but this last one is more complex, I would try the first option first.

Are you using the same EVAL board LM5025EVAL? I yes, you can try increasing C6 x2 placing one in parallel or to increase R5 x2 and check the same waveforms to see if any improvements.

    Thank you
