Tool/software:
Dear Representative, we successfully use LM2841YMK-ADJL/NOPB in our medical product for many years. Thank you for good quality of your products. Recently, we met some failures related to turned off condition of the regulator. In our application, we use additional DAC connected through a resistor to the feedback input of the regulator. This allows to regulate the output voltage from almost 0V to 10V. To set the regulator to 0V, we apply to feedback input voltage around 0.82V. The regulator stops switching. However, some leakage current from the regulator switch flows to the output and creates offset voltage. The measured leakage current of the switch was around 22.4uA which is not high, but it is higher than specified in datasheet switch leakage current of 0.5uA.
I understand that, probably, our application is not the same as it is specified in the datasheet for this parameter. But I need to know the following: 1. What condition of the regulator is specified in datasheet for the leakage current of the switch (probably, when the regulator is disable by Shutdown input?)? 2. What can be the maximum leakage current of the switch for our application when the regulator stops switching by applying voltage which is higher than reference voltage to Feedback input (in our case 0.82V)? Our operational temperature range is 10C to 40C.
Please provide this information to make us correct updates in our test limits when the regulator is turned off. Please let me know if you need additional information about our application. Thank you. Sergey
