In general how to decide minimum conversation ratio in buck converter. Like in LM5163 if I need 10V output what minimum input must be there. Is this also affects load current which we are drawing from buck ?

    Hi Vaibhav,

    Take a look at the toff-min spec in the datasheet, as this determines the max duty cycle for a given switching frequency.

    Dmax = Vout/Vin-min = (Tsw - toff-min)/Tsw, where Tsw = 1/Fsw.
