Tool/software:
The UV Warning and UV Fault thresholds are set to roughly 66% and 62% respectively of the Vref value (default settings). This seems somewhat low. Is this to provide margin to load transient events and prevent false triggers? I know the thresholds can be adjusted with PMBUS, but my application is not using PMBUS.
Also, is there any delay/deglitch time in the detection of UV (or OV) warning or fault to mask short transient events?
Hi Mark,

The UV Warning and Fault thresholds are set wide because they are programmed in Absolute mode and not pin-programmable, so they are set wide enough to accommodate the 0.8V to 1.2V programming range of VOUT. They are also sensed at VOUTS+. If you are looking for a similar part with tighter "relative" value of OV/UV, you might want to consider the TPS546C23 or TPS544C20.
Also, is there any delay/deglitch time in the detection of UV (or OV) warning or fault to mask short transient events?
Yes, UV has a 7 PWM cycle deglitch counter.
Thank you,
Tomoya
