My main concern is the TPS54360B. I would like to know if the split rail design below is feasible.

If it is not, can you help recommend a suitable IC?

Hi,

What is the input voltage, output current customer is looking?. Based on that we can decide whether to use TPS54360B or some other IC.

Hi,

Thanks for the detailed block diagram and input, output and current information. The required configuration is possible. However you may need to change the EN configuration. Basically you need to have a level shifter between EN pin and enable signal.

I recommend you to go through Working With Inverting Buck-Boost Converters and Creating a Split-Rail Power Supply With a Wide Input Voltage Buck Regulator app note.

Hello Nitya,

Good day.

The OPAMP supply voltage has been changed and confirmed to +9V and -9V.

TPS54924 or TPS54286(3) seems to be suitable for +3.3V and +5V, and TPS54X60 is suitable for +/-9V.
(+3.3V, +5V solved)
So my questions about split rails are organized as follows:

1. Select IC according to maximum current to operate stably in OPAMP +/-0.2A
TPS54360/TPS54260/TPS54160

2. Components and values that output +/-9V from TPS54X60

3. Will installing an additional 880uF capacitance per rail on the OPAMP cause any harm to the buck converter?"

Hi,

Regarding components and values: i would suggest you to refer https://www.ti.com/product/TPS54360B#design-tools-simulation /https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SWIFTINV-CALC / https://www.ti.com/tool/download/SLVC452 excel tool based on input, output voltage/current and switching frequency. Once you fill the excel tool, you can send me for review in this thread.

The output cap will change the loop response and system behavior. You can fill the cap values on excel sheet and check the loop response.
