Tool/software:
Hello,
My customer would like to know how inductor current behave when continuous short load.
could you show the example inductor current waveform when continuous short load?
Best regards,
K.Hirano

Lucia,
Thank you for taking care of this.
I look forward to receiving your feedback.

Hi Kazuhiko Hirano,
The inductor current of short load can be referred to this:
The I_L would be sandwiched between Hs_current limit and Ls_current limit and Fsw also drop.
Combined with the description of Datasheet, you can get what i say.
Thanks
Colin
Colin,
Thank you for your response.
The datasheet rays “Up to 1-A Output Current”.
But, Iout looks like continuous 1.6A when short load.
Could this make the device thermal shutdown or damaged?
Best regards,
K.Hirano
Hi Kazuhiko Hirano,
For short time, it wouldn't have TSD or damaged.
But we should avoid working in short load for long time.
We can use PG to monitor so that taking action in time.
Thanks
Colin
