BQ76952: Unused cell pins

Dear experts,

We would like to use BQ76952 only for current measurement so we do not want to use cell input pins except VC16 and BAT which is mandatory of course.

My question is what can I do with all the other cell inputs from VC0 to VC15? Can I short them all together and create a voltage divider from VC0 to VC3 to simulate

the minimum 3 cells input?

Hi Andras,

If you are not planning on using any voltage measurements or protections, then you can short VC15-VC1 to VC0. Your VC16, BAT and CP1 configuration in your schematic will work.

Since you are interest in only using the current measurement you can try looking at BQ76922 which is a 3s-5s making it a bit smaller.
