Hi,

I was looking at the evm and it has a 10kohm gate pull down resistor.  

Do we need external gate pull down resistor if the internal miller clamp feature is available for ucc21710?

the evm user's guide figure 2 shows the schematic for the UCC21732 (which doesn't have internal miller clamp). 

is that why you guys have R18 pull down on the evm?

please confirm whether the 10kohm R18 is required for ucc21710

    Hi Kelvin,

    Its recommended practice to plan 10Kohm gate pull down resistor (not must) so that Gate has weak pull down. It can be planned for both CLMPI or CLMPE variants.
