Tool/software:
Hello,
i am trying to get the TPS25750S to use PP_EXT to source the 5V power path.
I have connected a weak 5V supply to PP5V so PP_CABLE and the associated functions are powered and am following Alex Liu's answer from https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/1255608/tps25750-possible-to-source-5v-via-the-bq-part-instead to set the Power Path to PP_EXT(PP3).
This seems to have an effect since after a valid Contract for PDO1 has been established, the following happens:
If the path is set to PP_5V1, the internal FET closes and 5V is present at the output as expected.
If the path is set to PP_EXT1, the PP3switch status goes to 02 and the external FET stays open.
Since status 02 is marked as reserved in SLUVC05A on page 23, i'm unsure about what is missing to get the FETs to enable.
Best Regards
