BQ25616: Connecting DP and DM pins to GND

Thank you for the reply.

1. DP and DM pins connected to GND --> Current was lower than the setting.

2. DP and DM pins were OPEN --> Current was as the setting.

The same battery was used for both 1 and 2. (No charging or discharging during that time.)

If both pins must be OPEN, I would do so.

I was concerned about the negative effects of noise by making them OPEN, so I connected them to GND.

Please respond to the below questions to aid in the debug.

Can you confirm if the same battery voltage/input voltage was applied when you observed the lower input current than the ILIM pin? Also, the current does not always reach the maximum set by the ILIM pin unless the input is overloaded (ie high charge current and system load). Did you have a system load present for either of the scenarios? Can you please send a schematic?

Perhaps the battery voltage was equivalent.

Sorry, the prototype board is being used for other tests and cannot be checked immediately.
